Summary

Cold Take is designed as a private decision journal. Your takes, schedules, judgements, inferred topics, and exports stay under your control.

Data stored by the app

Cold Take stores the decisions you enter, your reasoning, expected outcomes, confidence, stakes, review dates, judgement notes, inferred topic tags, and related timestamps.

iCloud sync

If iCloud is available on your device, Cold Take syncs app data through your private iCloud database using CloudKit. The app does not run its own account system or backend.

Notifications

Cold Take uses local notifications to remind you when a take is ready to review. Notification permissions can be changed in iOS Settings.

Analytics and tracking

Cold Take does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking, or data brokers.

Exports

You can export your record as JSON or CSV. Exports are created on device and shared only through the destination you choose in the iOS share sheet.
